St. Vincent and the Grenadines will join the global community in observing International Literacy Day On September 8th, 2015, under the theme: ‘Literacy and Sustainable Societies’.
International Literacy Day gives children and communities a chance to rediscover the joys of reading while raising awareness for those without access to education.
Job Developer at the Adult and Continuing Education Department Jozel Joslyn-White, said the department will be hosting a week of activities to coincide with the global celebration.
Mrs. Joslyn-White said the activities will also seek to showcase the skills of the various students under the programme.
