The Ministry of Education says it will be continuing its work focusing on disasters and early childhood educational institutions during the new school year.
Senior Education Officer in charge of Early Childhood Education, Gwynette Cambridge says this follows the successful completion of the Annual Teachers Summer Institute workshops, attended by a number of Early Childhood Educators.
She said the Ministry expects to see improvements at Early Childhood institutions during the new school year and they will be focusing heavily on disaster preparedness and response systems for the nation’s youths.
Mrs. Cambridge said they want to address the psychological effects of disasters on the children.
