The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Martha’s Vineyard and Ambassador LaCelia Prince on behalf of the government of this country in 2013 has borne fruit.
The National Public Library and all who patronize it, are set to benefit from a donation of one hundred boxes of books, which will enhance the adult, children and young adult selections.
This country’s Counsel General in New York, Selmon Walters, this morning handed over the donation to the chief librarian here, on behalf of the Martha’s Vineyard island counsel.
He noted that the MOU is meant to be mutually beneficial, as he made an appeal to Vincentians here to donate books to the library on Martha’s Vineyard. Walters said that the aim is to have a selection of books about St. Vincent and the Grenadines and by Vincentian authors featured in the library on our sister island.
