Sea lovers across the nation have been given tips on how to remain safe while enjoying themselves on the beach.
On last night’s edition of NBC Radio’s “On the Beat” programme, two Leading Seamen from the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard (RSVCG), discussed ways in which the risk of drowning could be reduced. Leading Seaman Alexis Bynoe, gave guidelines people should follow, while at the beach.
While it is a fact that not everyone can swim, Bynoe suggested that it’s a skill people should try to acquire, and added that even strong swimmers, need to be careful in the ocean. He noted that children can be taught to swim from a very early age.
