Minister of Foreign Affairs, Camillo Gonsalves, has pointed to the vital importance of the Argyle International Airport Project, to the development of the tourism product of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Minister Gonsalves explained why an International Airport is needed, as he contributed to debate on the Economic Diversification Loan Authorization Bill, which was passed in Parliament on August 4th.
The Bill was introduced by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Ralph Gonsalves to authorize the Government to secure a loan of five million U.S. dollars from Taiwan, to assist in the financing of the construction of the Argyle International Airport.
In his presentation, Minister Gonsalves said the International Airport is a basic requirement for the development of a modern society.
