A number of initiatives are being implemented to reduce the Food Import Bill in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The activities are being carried out under the Agriculture Development and Modernization Program, which is being funded by the Banana Accompanying Measures or BAM Program.
Coordinator Patrick Martin says this program will help to lessen the food import bill, as this country imports 40-million dollars worth of meat and meat products on a yearly basis.
