Teens in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are set to benefit from a two week training programme designed to help them keep abreast with the ever changing, fast paced technological world.
The National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services today opened its 2nd annual summer programme, dubbed Helping Young People Excel (HYPE) under the theme “Techknow teens…Web Design”. During the program, participants will be learning how to build APPs and websites.
Director of the Public Library, Michelle Campbell-King in giving remarks at the opening ceremony, said that technology is at the core of our daily lives and the programme will be of great benefit to the young people.
Delivering the feature address, Director of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), Apollo Knights, encouraged the participants, to build APPs and websites that would be of great benefit to people.
The HYPE programme ends on August 21st, and the NTRC will be awarding five hundred dollars to the winning web design team.
