The government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is currently engaged in a project to refurbish a number of fisheries centers throughout the country.
Speaking in parliament on Tuesday 4th, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Saboto Ceasar, said the project forms part of efforts to modernize the local fisheries sector.
Minister Ceasar said five fisheries centers are benefiting from the project, which is being funded by the government of Japan. He also noted that the ministry is pleased with the interest generated from the private sector for the management of the fisheries centers.
