Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Clayton Burgin says work has already begun at Owia to deal with the influx of Sargassum Sea Weed which has been washing up on some beaches here.
Responding to a question in Parliament on Tuesday 4th, Minister Burgin said the Sea Weed in Owia is being taken from the beach and dried on the wharf.
Minister Burgin said the Ministry of Transport and Works is also assisting with this program and reinforcing the beaches in a number of areas which have been exposed to erosion.
