St. Vincent and the Grenadines was represented at the 61st session of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, held in Geneva Switzerland on Friday July 24th.
Word of this came from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, at a News Conference this week.
The Prime Minister said the meeting focused on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and this country was represented by Merissa Finch Burke from the Ministry of National Mobilization and Senior Magistrate Zoila Ellis Browne.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said the presentation for St. Vincent and the Grenadines was well received at last week’s session.
