Sprinter, Keneke Alexander earned St. Vincent and the Grenadines their second Pan American Games Medal in any Sport and the first in 20 years when she placed third in 400-metres at the American Games in Toronto, Canada last night.
Alexander who led the race with 50-metres to go, clocked 51.50 seconds.
The Race was won by American Kendall Baisden who became the first US Woman since 1979 to win the Pan American 400-metres Title. She ran the race in 51.27 seconds.
Another American Shakima Wimbley was second in 52.28 seconds.
Alexander’s time also qualified her for the World Championships to be held in Beijing China in August.
