The second batch of Vincentians to benefit from the Venezuela eye-care programme ‘Miracle Mission’ left the state yesterday for Venezuela.
Fourteen persons departed from the E.T. Joshua Airport bound for Venezuela, where they will receive free eye surgeries.
Speaking at a brief ceremony prior to their departure, the patients were overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to improve their vision.
Deputy Prime Minister Girlyn Miguel was on hand to extend her best wishes to the departing Vincentians.
