Farmers Co-operatives across the country are expected to be strengthened, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of National Mobilisation.
The agreement is intended to facilitate collaboration between both Ministries, in the implementation of several projects and programmes over the next five years.
Addressing the signing ceremony last week, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Raymond Ryan said Farmers Co-operatives will be strengthened under the agreement.
He noted that Farmers Co-operatives have the potential to significantly improve the quality of life of Small Farmers.
