The Central Water and Sewerage Authority is appealing to Vincentians to practice proper waste disposal throughout the country and not just when they are in Capital Kingstown.
This appeal was made by Collection Superintendent at the CWSA, Greg Francois.
He tells NBC News, people can also reduce the amount of waste they produce by adopting a number of measures such as, taking their own bags to supermarkets to reduce the amount of plastic in the environment.
Mr. Francois said farmers can also play an integral part in keeping the country clean by practicing composting and feeding animals with waste food from their kitchens among other things.
