The Central Water and Sewerage Authority says it is currently in the process of replacing the colored litter bins which were removed from around Capital Kingstown during the Carnival season.
Collection Superintendent at the CWSA Greg Francois tells NBC News, they started replacing the Litter Bins on July 8th and they expect this process to be completed by the end of today.
He said the replacement process is taking longer than they expected because they have to find new ways to keep the bins pinned to the ground because people continue to vandalize them.
Mr. Francois has also reiterated the appeal for members of the public to desist from vandalizing the garbage bins.
