Educators from across the country will be attending the Annual Summer Institute Workshop organized by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Union from today.
The Teachers Union will again be collaborating with the Canadian Teachers’ Federation, the Ministry of Education and the Basic Needs Trust Fund, to co-ordinate the workshop, which is slated to run from
July 13th to 24th.
The Union says the workshop will provide Educators with the skills and confidence to reach every student, particularly in the areas of Mathematics, Language Arts, Special Education, Assessment, and Early Childhood Education.
The workshop is intended to help Teachers to equip students with the skills they need for the 21st century and to prepare them for success
The participants are also expected to acquire the confidence and competence to successfully train their fellow educators.
All participants will be exposed to Trade Unionism, Action Research and ICT Integration.
The workshop session will take place at the Girls’ High School and will begin at 8:30 a.m. daily
Today’s Opening Ceremony will take place at the Memorial Hall from eight-thirty this morning.
