The Vincentian eye patients are travelling to Venezuela as that country celebrates eleven years of the eye care programme.
Addressing this morning’s ceremony, the Charges D’affaires at the Venezuelan embassy – Daliana Guanipa, thanked officials at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for helping to prepare the patients.
She added that Venezuelan doctors will also be travelling here to undertake surgeries at the MCMH.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has assured the departing patients that they will be well cared for once they arrive in Caracas.
