St. Vincent and the Grenadines qualified for the semi-finals of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-23 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico after finishing top of Group Four with (4) points.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines drew 2-2 with Puerto Rico in their opening match, and beat Trinidad and Tobago 5-3.
In the final match of Group (4) on Monday, Puerto Rico who needed to win by three clear goals to go pass St. Vincent and the Grenadines, were beaten 5-nil by Trinidad and Tobago.
In one semi-final, St. Vincent and the Grenadines will meet Group (1) winners Haiti. In the other, Group (2) winners Cuba will opposite Jamaica, winners of Group (3).
The semi-finals are scheduled for 14th August at a venue to be decided, with the Final and 3rd place paly-off set for 16th August.
The top teams will qualify for the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship.
17 teams from the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) competed in the qualifying Competition.
