Stakeholders in the Health Sector gathered at the Methodist Church hall yesterday to discuss the concept of Health-In-All policies.
The forum, hosted by the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment, featured a presentation by Dr. Godfrey Xuereb (Shreb), PAHO/WHO Representative for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.
Dr. Xuereb (Shreb) said that the aim of Health-in-All Policies is to collaborate across all the sectors which influence health, in order to make positive change.
Dr. Xuereb (Shreb) added that the growing income disparity in the Caribbean and Latin America, represents a significant challenge for policy makers in the health sector.
