An international charity working to provide free medical care for children in St Vincent and the Grenadines and across the Eastern Caribbean is looking to drum up local support for its work.
The World Pediatric Project (WPP) recently hired a Chief Development Officer in the person of Simon Carey, to help spread the word.
Mr. Carey says he will be traveling throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines to help raise funds for the organization.
The World Pediatric Project mobilizes teams of volunteer pediatricians who travel to St Vincent and the Grenadines each year to provide specialist care to thousands of children who would otherwise not be able to afford the treatment.
WPP Eastern Caribbean Regional representative – Jackie Browne-King says the work of the organization is critically important due to the restraints of the region’s healthcare system.
The World Pediatric Project’s next mission is scheduled for September this year, when a five member team is expected to provide neurological care to children.
