Hundreds of Vincentians are expected benefit from free eye surgery when a team of Venezuelan doctors visit the country this week.
Approximately three hundred patients will benefit from the surgeries that will be performed at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Officials from the Ministry of Health say a further twenty-eight Vincentians will travel to the South American country to undergo surgery to correct their vision.
The candidates, who have been preselected from a previous visit, will be contacted by officials from the Milton Cato Memorial hospital.
The operations will be performed by four Venezuelan medical teams over a period of one month.
Each team comprises eleven persons and includes ophthalmologists, anesthesiologists and nurses.
