St. Vincent and the Grenadines is more visible to foreigners during the carnival season, and it is therefore important that we keep the country clean.
Manager of the SWMU, Winsbert Quow reiterated this while speaking to NBC News last Tuesday. He said that Carnival is the perfect opportunity to show true Vincentian hospitality, by ensuring our surrounds are clean. While waste management is important all year round, the Solid Waste Management Unit (SWMU) in the CWSA is imploring revellers and masqueraders to utilize the skips placed in and around Kingstown.
Quow said that the SWMU has other initiatives in place to aid in keeping the capital clean this festival season
