Vincentians are being encouraged to become blood donors so as to replenish the blood supply at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Medical technologist at the Milton Cato memorial Hospital (MCMH) Kamalla Questelles says the Blood Bank needs to be replenished every 35 days,
Questelles says that men and women can donate every eight weeks but recommends that women donate every three months. She noted that becoming a blood donor is not difficult.
Meanwhile nephrologist and registrar at the MCMH, Dr. Twanna Brown-Caesar says that there are many reasons why it’s important to keep the blood supply replenished
