Public Service Day will be observed on June 23rd, under the theme “Innovating Public Service Delivery to Implement the Post 2015 Development Agenda”.
And, the Public Sector Reform Unit in the Ministry of National Reconciliation, the Public Service, Labour, Information and Ecclesiastical Affairs will commemorate the Day with a week of activities.
The activities will begin with an Address by the Minister of the Public Service, Maxwell Charles. This would be followed by a Church Service to be held at the New Testament Church, Wilson Hill, Kingstown, from 8am.
Other activities include interviews with past and present Public Servants; a Public Service Exhibition on June 24th; Staff Exchange on June 25thy and Staff Appreciation Day on June 26th.
As part of creating awareness of the Day, the Public Sector Reform Unit has adopted the slogan “Public Servant are Appreciated”.
The Annual observance of Public Service Day highlights the invaluable contributions of Public Servants and Administrators as part of efforts to build a better world for all.
