A two-day workshop on Geographical Indications takes place here this week, with the aim developing products that are unique to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information Technology will be collaborating with the Commerce and Intellectual Property Office to host a workshop on Geographical Indications on Thursday and Friday this week.
Trade Officer One Okolo John-Patrick says the workshop seeks to assist stakeholders in implementing proper identification of their products on the national and international markets.
Mrs. John-Patrick says another objective of the workshop is to identify the technical assistance needs of the stakeholders.
The workshop begins at 9am on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room.
