Local Fisherfolk have been urged to take up the challenge of providing a reliable supply of fish to the international market.
The challenge came from Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Saboto Ceaser, during his remarks at the Prize-Giving and Awards Ceremony held at the Calliaqua Playing Field on Monday, to mark the close of the Fisherman’s Month of activities.
Minister Ceaser said Fisherfolk must be prepared to significantly increase and sustain the volume of fish exported.
Minister Ceaser said the fisheries sector holds tremendous potential for national development, but the private sector must get on board, to ensure a greater level of success.
