Chief Fisheries Officer, Jennifer Cruickshank Howard said plans are well in place for the Annual grand finale to the Fisherman’s month of activities at the Calliaqua Playing Field.
Mrs. Cruickshank Howard said they have held a number of successful programs thus far and these activities will continue tomorrow with the Junior and Female Fishing competitions.
Mrs. Cruickshank Howard said on Monday they will have the final competitions as well as the weighing in to judge the Fisherman of the Year after five weeks of competitions.
She said Monday’s program will also hear addresses from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar among other speakers.
This year’s program which runs from April 16th to May 25th is taking place under the theme “Forty Years of Harvest, accept no less, Fish is the best” and the slogan “Put a Fish on Your Dish”.
