Persons in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will today join the rest of their Global counterparts to march against the production of Genetically Modified Organisms or (GMO’s).
Cofounder of Chatoyer Gardens an Organic Farm in the country, Alexandra Paolino Punnette said the march will take place as a protest against global Genetically Modified Organisms Company MONSANTO.
Mrs. Paolino Punnette said today they will be in front of the Court house in Kingstown from 12:00 to 4:00PM to protests against the importation of Genetically Modified seeds into the country for farming.
She said over one hundred countries worldwide will be involved in this March and they will also be handing out more than three thousand newspapers to passers-by to educate them about the dangers of Genetically Modified Organisms.
Mrs. Paolino Punnette said this March comes as people fight for the right to have a choice when it comes to what they plant and eat.
