The Fisherman’s Day Committee has pledged its commitment to continue working along with the Fisheries Division to host capacity building programs for the nation’s fisher folk.
This commitment was made by Chairman of the Fisherman’s Day Committee, Winsbert Harry, as activities continue as part of this year’s Fisherman’s Month of activities.
Mr. Harry said they are also focusing on strengthening the Fisherman’s Cooperatives throughout the country to ensure the continued development of the nation’s fishing sector.
Mr. Harry is also appealing to Fisherman’s Cooperatives throughout the country to continue hosting public programs even after the month of activities is finished.
He is also encouraging Vincentians to continue supporting the Fisherman’s Month of activities.
