Child’s Month this year is being observed under the theme “Nutrition and Play- Healthy Children Today”
Speaking on NBC Radio’s “Views on Issues” programme, Senior Education Officer, with responsibility for early Childhood development, Ms. Gwyneth Cambridge, says that children learn in different ways and the learning process must be fun, in order to ensure children do not get bored. She says through play, children will be poised to take off educationally.
She added that children need both structured and unstructured play, such as the “word wall” and “hopscotch”, which should be implemented from daycare.
