Chief Nutritionist in the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment Andrea Robin has outlined the challenges which the Ministry is encountering in addressing the problem of overweight children.
Mrs. Robin raised the issue, during NBC’s Views On Issues programme on Sunday, which examined the topic: Developing Health Lifestyles for Children Through Nutrition and Play.
She noted that a larger number of children are now over-weight.

The other Panelists were: Senior Education Officer in Charge of Early Childhood Education Gwennette Cambridge; and Keon Gordon, Physical Education Teacher at the Campden Park Secondary School.
The discussion was held as part of activities to mark Child Month which is being observed under the theme: Nutrition and Play: Healthy Children Today
