Vincentian women have been advised to get regular medical check-ups, to ensure early detection of potentially life-threatening diseases and other conditions.
The advice came from Jamaica-based Vincentian Dermatologist, Dr. Arusha Campbell-Chambers, as she delivered a lecture last week on the topic: Empowering Caribbean Women to Embrace Self-Care and Self-Preservation.
The lecture was hosted by the Girls’ High School as part of activities to celebrate its 104th Anniversary.
Dr. Campbell-Chambers noted that many women find it difficult to find time to get a medical check-up.
