Minster of Housing Montgomery Daniel says the economy of St. Vincent and the Grenadines continues to show resilience, despite a number of devastating natural disasters in recent years.
Minster Daniel made the point, as he delivered remarks at a ceremony held at Hope in Penniston on Friday, to mark the handing over of houses to five families from the area.
The families had spent seventeen months in shelters, after the December 2013 Floods caused damage to their houses.
Minister Daniel said, despite the ravages of the weather, the economy continues to rebound.
The houses at Hope were constructed at a cost of 367-thousand dollars.
Newly constructed houses have already been handed over in Colonaire, Carapan and Caratal, as the Government continues its rehabilitation programme.
