A top official from the European Union has Stressed the need for Agriculture Stakeholders to work closer with the farming Communities towards the continued development of the Agricultural Sector.
The European Union’s Ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Mikael Barford was speaking at a Media Conference where he announced a 28-million dollar support package for the Banana Accompanying Measures or BAM.
He said the BAM project takes into account the country’s specific
situation as it focuses on economic diversification.
Ambassador Barford said efforts must be made to address the weaknesses in the Agricultural Sector.
