A call has been made for members of the nation’s fisherfolk organizations to play a greater role in the development of the fishing industry.
This call was made by President of the National Fisherfolk Organization, Eocen Victory during the launch of the 2015 edition of the Fisherman’s month of activities.
Mr. Victory also appealed to the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM) to continue the great work it is doing in developing the fishing industry in the region.
He said however that the fisher folk need to come forward and play a greater role in the industry which directly sustains their livelihoods.
