Fisherman’s Co-operatives across the country will be hosting their own activities as part of the programme leading up to Fisherman’s Day.
Word of this came from Chief Fisheries Officer, Jennifer Cruikshank Howard, during her remarks at the launch of the 2015 Fisherman’s Month of activities last week.
Mrs. Cruikshank Howard said there will be some innovations for this year’s programme.
Mrs. Cruikshank Howard said this year will also see a number of new Fishing competitions taking place leading up the Fisherman’s Day on May 25th.
This year’s Fisherman’s Month activities were launched under the theme: “Forty Years of Harvest, accept no less, Fish is the best” and the slogan “Put a Fish on Your Dish”.
