The Vermont Francois Bridge was officially opened with Government officials describing it as an important piece of infrastructure in this country’s road network.
The bridge was constructed over a three year period with funding from the Governments of the Republic of China on Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Delivering the Feature Address, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said the Bridge will provide proper road access to the residents, while at the same time connect the two Communities.
Meanwhile … Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Baushan Ger congratulated the government on the successful completion of the bridge, which he said symbolizes the strong friendship between the two countries.
