Fifty women from Rural Communities are being involved in a project aimed at enhancing their ability to develop products for export to Regional and International markets.
The Ministry of Agriculture is partnering with Invest SVG to carry out the project entitled “Rural Women’s Development and Empowerment”
As part of the Project, the Women attended a Refresher Training Course where they received Training in Group Dynamics; Good Manufacturing Practices; and Food Technology.
Speaking at this morning’s opening ceremony, Executive Director of Invest SVG, Bernadette Ambrose-Black outlined the overall objective of the project.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Invest SVG, Anthony Regisford, in his remarks alluded to the significance of women in the country’s economic development. He hailed the project as being necessary at this time.
