Comptroller of Inland Revenue Kelvin Pompey said the department will be adopting a more focused approach to dealing with business and individuals who fail to meet their tax obligations.
He made the point as he addressed Business Leaders at a Business Luncheon hosted by the SVG Chamber of Industry and Commerce last week.
Mr. Pompey said greater efforts must be made to improve the 2014 compliant rate of sixty percent.
Mr. Pompey said the high non-compliance rate has resulted in over 180 million dollars in outstanding taxes.
