Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will deliver the feature address today at a ceremony to mark the completion of physical work at the Lowmans Bay Fuel Storage and Distribution Facility.
The Fuel Storage Facility is a joint venture between the Government of Venezuela and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
This initiative falls under the petro Caribe Agreement with a value of 40 million US dollars. This afternoon’s ceremony is scheduled to begin at three.
Other addresses will come from Chief Executive Officer of VINLEC, Thornley Myers; President of Miracle Mission Rosa Chavez; President of the Petro Caribe/Alba Bank Joint venture Bernado Alvarez; and Vice President of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza.
The Fuel Storage and Distribution Facility is expected to increase the capacity for storing fuel in St. Vincent and the Grenadines by approximately three months.
Today’s ceremony will be preceded by a signing ceremony to take place at Cabinet Room from 2pm.
