A release from the South East Development Incorporated (SEDI) which is also the the parent body of South East Steel Orchestra (SESO) says the declaration is in recognition of SESO’s signature concert dubbed HEARTS OF STEEL.
The 3rd edition of the concert will be held on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April at the Community College in Glen. It will be staged under the theme “Colours of Youth”.
The release says April is also a special month for SEDI as it is the month in which the organization was registered as a non-profit entity 7 years ago.
Throughout the month of April, the South East Steel Orchestra will be engaged in a number of activities leading up to the concert. These include the official launch of HEARTS OF STEEL 2015; a special performance at the Karen Hinds Phenomenal Woman Conference, the hosting of a programme on NBC Radio, and a number of church performances.
HEARTS OF STEEL 2015 – “Colours of Youth” gives focus and recognition to the important role and contribution that young people are playing in the development of the steel pan art form and to community/national development.
