St. Vincent and the Grenadines and other countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, OECS, will see a phased introduction of the OECS Agricultural Plan of Action, in the upcoming months.
Word of this came from Director General of the OECS Commission, Dr. Didicus Jules, as he addressed the Closing News Conference, following the inaugural meeting of the OECS Council of Ministers of Agriculture.
The meeting was convened at the NIS Conference facility here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday.
Dr. Jules said the meeting decided that a phased implementation plan would be devised for the OECS Agricultural Plan of Action.
But he noted that although the plan would be phased in over a period of time, some actions will be taken in the short term, to bring benefits to the citizens of the sub-region.
