Comptroller of Inland Revenue Kelvin Pompey has appealed for a greater level of co-operation from local businesses, in meeting their tax obligations.
Mr. Pompey made the appeal as he addressed Business Leaders at a Business Luncheon hosted by the SVG Chamber of Industry and Commerce last week.
He disclosed that the Inland Revenue Department estimates that up to 40-percent of persons who should be in the tax net are either not paying their fair share, or are not making any contribution at all.
