Telecommunications Provider DIGICEL has pledged its commitment to working along with the Girls’ High School Young Leaders to educate and inform the nation about the responsible use of the Internet and mobile devices.
This commitment was made by Marketing Executive at DIGICEL, Juno Deroche earlier this week as the Young Leaders of the Girls high School launched their 2015 programme with the theme: Thumbs Up.
The programme highlights some of the dangers of technological abuse, including: Cyber Bullying, Sexting, Driving while using mobile devices among others.
Miss Deroche said DIGICEL launched a similar program a number of years ago and she commended the Young Leaders for continuing to address this very important issue.
Meanwhile Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Jonathan Nichols said the Thumbs Up program is a very worthwhile initiative.
