He gave an update on the issue while responding to a question in Parliament last week.
Dr. Gonsalves said work is also expected to be undertaken on a number of village and secondary roads, using equipment that are no longer needed on the Argyle International Airport project.
Dr. Gonsalves said every effort is being made to upgrade these roads in the soonest possible time.
