Vincentian Youth Entrepreneur, Cenus Hinds is among 32 teams from 17 countries selected as finalists in the 10th Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas) and the Eco-Challenge 2015 scheduled to take place in Panama next month.
19-year-old Cenus Hinds of Layou is the Founder of Konservi, a mobile marketing business social promotions app which connects businesses with their customers, who use it to stay informed of the best deals and promotions.
Konservi was among two thousand seven hundred and thirty-four teams from the OAS Member States that participated in the TIC Americas, which is organised by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) in cooperation with the Organization of American States (OAS) which includes the Centre for Enterprise Development Incorporated (CED), one of its local partner.
Mr. Hinds said the idea for Konservi was founded in 2014 with investment made by LIME (SVG) for the development of the mobile application.
He said he expects that he will emerge a winner at the finals in Panama on April 7th.
Mr. Hinds said upon learning of his achievement moments after the announcement last Friday, he was overjoyed.
He said the finals will also present the opportunity for him to network and speak to investors.
