Valley Boys and Suprizers got off to winning starts as the 2015
Hairoun Barrouallie Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship got underway on Sunday at the Keartons Playing Field.
Valley Boys won from Hillview by 4 runs in a low scoring encounter. The scores: Valley Boys 60 off 17.4-overs; Philbert Chambers took 3 for 17, Hillview 56 off 16-overs; extras 22; Kerwin Browne 4 for 11.
Suprizers beat Sand Crab by 76 runs. The scores: Suprizers 128 off 16.4-overs; Handel Browne 33; Devon Solomon 3 for 21, Sand Crab 52 off 15-overs.
The Championship will continue on Sunday also at the Keartons Playing Field.
