This country’s Soca Artiste, Gamal Skinny Fabuous Doyle was named Entertainer of the Year, during the Second Annual National Awards Ceremony hosted by the SVG Association of Music Professionals last night.
Doyle was among several Vincentians who were honoured for their contribution to the Entertainment Industry last year.
Other Awards were presented to Evangelist Bridget Blucher for winning the Gospel Single of the Year Award for her song Greatly Blessed.
The Best Vocal Performance award went to the group Called Out.

Hip Hop and R&B Single of the Year – What You Here For by Prez.
Reggae Single of the Year – Belive by Dynamite

Universal Single of the Year – Beat Drops Out – Marlon Roudette
Soca Single of the Year – Family by Madskull
Ragga Soca Single of the Year – Till Morning – Luta
Best New Male Artiste of the Year – Madskull
Best New Female Artiste of the Year – Gem
Disc Jockey of the Year – DJ CJ of Emerald Sounds
Radio Station of the Year – NBC Radio
Songwriter of the Year – Gamal Skinny Fabulous Doyle
Best Riddim Track of the Year – Wreck It Riddim – Wetty Beats/Stadic Studios
Best Vocal Collaboration of the Year – Problem Child and Patrice Roberts – Born to Win
Best Live Band of the Year – Rodney Small and the Ultimate Band
Best Music Video of the Year – When the Beat Drops Out – Marlon Roudette
Musician of the Year – Darron Andrews
Producer of the Year – Alex Barnwell
Record of the Year – Rum Meeting – Fireman Hooper
Special Honours Awards were presented to Roland Sardine and Alston Becket Cyrus and the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Clement ‘Baha’ Lawrence.
