Members of the public will now be able to visit the National Public Library to view a three dimensional scale model of an early indigenous village that was excavated at the Argyle Airport site.
Speaking at the opening of this morning’s exhibition Director of the Kingstown Public Library Michelle King Campbell said she is pleased to house such an important monument at the library that will encourage pride and preservation of the National Cultural Heritage.
And Dr. Corinne Hofman of the Leiden University of Netherland during her remarks said the excavations at Argyle have allowed the team to connect the early indigenous history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with the rest of the Caribbean.
The exhibition taking place at the National Public Library is being hosted by the Garifuna Heritage Foundation as part of its international summit for Heroes and Heritage month.
