A project aimed at enhancing the capacity of Rural Women Producers has been launched here with assistance from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO.
The Project is being financed by the UNESCO Participation Program at a cost of 24-thousand six-hundred and thirty-one US dollars.
Under the theme “Enhancing Income through Capacity Building” the Project will be carried out by the Women in Agriculture Langley Park Cooperative.
In his address at the launch of the Project, Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar commended the group for its role in the development of the Agriculture Sector.
Meanwhile … President of the Women in Agriculture Langley Park Cooperative, Nioka Balcombe is encouraging other farming groups to become registered as Cooperatives.
